Xyris capensis

Grass-like perennial up to 50 cm. The leaves are linear. The yellow flowers (October to April) grow in clusters among brown bracts, lasting only a few hours.

Distribution in the Hex

Marshes and streams in De Doorns Sandstone Fynbos.
