Small succulent (25 cm) that looks like a miniature aloe. Stemless. Leaves in compact rosette with warty tubercles, especially on undersides of leaves. Bears waxy brown-white flowers (early summer) on a spike (40 cm). Seeds ripen late summer.

Distribution in the Hex

North-west facing slopes and flats in De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo vegetation. Often near Pteronia paniculata.
