Evergreen shrub or small tree to 4 m. Male and female flowers on separate plants. Leaves trifoliolate, leafleets stalked and lance-shaped to narrowly elliptic, Leaves lighter on undersides. Flowers yellowish. Drupes ellipsoid and shortly hairy.

Distribution in the Hex

Riverine areas of De Doorns Sandstone Fynbos, De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo, and Hex River Arid Alluvium Fynbos.
