Ruschia multiflora

Low perennial succulent shrub with finger-like gray green fleshy leaves. Older branches woody, younger branches sometimes red. Bears numerous white flowers in spring. The fruit resembles a fig, which later dries and bursts open. The dried fruit capsules remain on the plant throughout winter.
Distribution in the Hex
De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo vegetations types towards the north east of the valley. Probably fairly common throughout the valley floor.
