Protea laurifolia

Large shrub or small tree with broad rounded leathery gray leaves. Leaves have a sharp tip. Pink cylindrical inflorescens. Involucral bracts (green to pink) end in feathery white and black tip.

Distribution in the Hex

Sandy slopes and flats of the De Doorns Sandstone Fynbos, Hex River Arid Alluvium Fynbos and less commonly in Renosterveld vegetation types.
