Pelargonium rapaceum

Pelargonium rapaceum

Tuberous geophyte to 40 cm tall. The bipinnatisect leaves are usually dry at flowering. Up to 50 white, yellow or pink flowers (October to February) branch from peduncles. The lower 3 petals form a keel and the upper 2 petals have the appearance of ears.

To our knowledge only the yellow variant occurs in the Hex.

Distribution in the Hex

Stony or sandy slopes and flats of Hex River Arid Alluvium Fynbos.
