Oxalis purpurea

Stemless geophyte with large bulb. Leaves trifoliolate, leaflets paddle-shaped, hairy and purple beneath. Flowers (May to September) purple or yellow and with yellow tube.

Distribution in the Hex

Flats and lower slopes in De Doorns Sandstone Fynbos (purple variant) and De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo (yellow variant) vegetation.
