Oxalis leptogramma

Bulbous geophyte of about 15cm tall. Individuals tend to cluster together. Short stem branches into numerous peduncles and leaves on petioles that are almost as long as peduncles. Flowers have magenta (also red or orange) petals with a yellow corolla. The stem, petioles, leaves and peduncles have a somewhat megenta hue. Layered and loose bulb tunic with hair-like structures towards the bottom.
Distribution in the Hex
Shale flats in De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo. Often in patches and often co-located with Oxalix burkei.
