Oxalis hirta

Oxalis hirta

Softly hairy geophyte up to 30cm with a leafy, branching stem. Leaves are trifoliolate (3 leaflets), grey-green with a short stalk. The leaflets are linear to egg-shaped with the narrower end towards the base and hairy beneath. The flowers (April to June) are mauve or magenta with a long yellow tube.

Distribution in the Hex

Flats and low slopes of Hex River Arid Alluvium Fynbos.
