Bulbous geophyte with short stem and umbrella-shaped canopy of small pale green trifoliate leaves. A single relatively large pink flower appears in winter. The corolla (tube) is yellow.

Distribution in the Hex

Shale soils of De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo vegetation. Also occurs in Hex River Arid Alluvium Fynbos vegetation.
