Leucadendron salignum

Unmistakable bright yellowgreen shrub. Unusual for the Protea family, Leucadendron is dioecious - it has separate male and female plants. Female and male flowers are surrounded by yellow bracts.
Distribution in the Hex
Slopes and flats, often in kloof mouths of the South Hex Sandstone Fynbos (suurveld).
