Hermannia althaeifolia
wolhaarpoproos, lanternbos
Softly hairy, grey-green to yellow-green shrublet to 50 cm. Leaves on long petioles (stalks), egg-shaped to elliptic, toothed and crisped. Stipules leafy and broad. Flowers (June to August) yellow, in clusters. Calyx fading to cream-coloured, inflated.
Distribution in the Hex
Clay flats in De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo. Sandy flats in Hex River Arid Alluvial Fynbos.
