Cyanella hyacinthoides

blou raaptol

Cormous geophyte between 25 and 40 cm. Leaves linear to lance-shaped, smooth to finely or roughly hairy. Flowers (August to November) in branched racemes, mauve or white, stamens bright yellow, 5 upper stamens and 1 lower stamen, fragrant, pedicels bent at sharp angles.

Distribution in the Hex

Sandy flats of Hex River Arid Alluvium Fynbos.
