Calobota cytisoides

Upright shrub or small tree up to 2 m. Leaves trifoliolate with a petiole (stalk) about as long as the leaflets. Flowers bright yellow (August to November), wings (side petals) shorter than keel (bottom petal). Pods linear, hairless, and split open when dry.

Distribution in the Hex

Sand or clay in lower slopes or flats. De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo and Hex River Arid Alluvium Fynbos.
