Babiana ambigua

Small perennial (5-8 cm) with narrow leaves oftern longer than the stem. Bears fragrant blue or mauve flowers with white markings on lower tepals (petal of flower without calyx).

Distribution in the Hex

Sandy flats in transition between De Doorns Sandstone Fynbos and Hex River Arid Alluvium Fynbos. Also sandstone slopes in De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo.
