Adromischus maculatus

Adromischus maculatus

Succulent perennial to 35 cm tall. The leaves are reverse egg-shaped to wedge-shaped with a ridge on the margin that continues all the way to the base. Purple markings on the leaves. Flowers (December to January) are in a spikey cyme, pink to red and cylindric, but not grooved.

Distribution in the Hex

North-facing sandstone and shale slopes of De Doorns Renosterveld Karoo.
